The tool of second to the left in the left photo
is unique for shamisen , it's used to shave the back of Tenjin, the head of Shamisen .
It's hard to shave roundly.
I studied Kouki is red sandalwood or redsander and Karin is quince wood in English
botanical name of Kouki is pterocarpus santalinus.
三味線の工場の見学に行ってまいりました。
左写真の左から二番目が三味線独特の工具で天神の裏を削る道具。
やはり丸く削るのは技術がいると感じました。
紅木はred sandalwood またはredsander だと学びました。
花梨はquince wood,
紅木の学術名 pterocarpus santalinus だそうです。
