http://www.chosyuji.jp/

I went to the Zen training at the Choshuji temple where

I always go to train tea ceremony.

We say Ken-Zen Ichinyo(Sword and Zen is the same) in Kendo(Japanese swordmanship),

Cha-Zen Ichimi(Tea ceremony and Zen is the same) in Tea ceremony,

Ugoku-zen(Active Zen) in Aikido, and Sui-Zen(Blowing zen) in Shakuhachi
(Japanese bamboo flute),

it shows Zen is essential to Japanese culture.

I got a preach by the priest , and today is the birthday of Buddha called

"Hanamaturi(Flower Festival)" we drink amacha(sweet tea).

We all know the birthday of Crist, but the birthday of Buddha is less well known,, why?
