I think this comic book's shamisen is Chinese Sanxian.
Theory says Chinese Sanxian (Photo) was exported to Okinawa, and
Okinawan Sanshin was export to Sakai in Osaka,and modified by Biwa Player.
It was in the early Edo period.
There is not enough historical research!

前田慶次のいたのは 江戸初期ということではあるが
江戸初期に 沖縄から大阪の境に三線が伝わり琵琶奏者が改良したのが定説。
三線や中国三絃が江戸にあったとは考えにくい。
となるとこれは単に参考資料のミスか!?
